...help
Any one have an idea on how hard it would be to remove the area in front of the engine? (The 4 tubular looking things)
I need to get these critters out of there before they grow and destroy my wires. ![]() ![]() Any helpful ideas are welcome. I can't bring myself to just smash or kill them. Yet. |

A squirrel had babies in your engine compartment. Interesting.

removing the intake manifold is alot of work.. a handyman can possibly do it but you will have to buy new gaskets. best way would be to remove the air cleaner box and remove the throttle body then maybe reach in there... i may be wrong so untill i confirm it im wrong its just a maybe
try calling a mobile repair technician. im a mobile repair tech for a small oil change company |

Is this actually under your intake manifold? If so, I would just go to the car wash and grab a high-pressure hose. Not exactly humane, but I don't see better/cheaper options.

My brother's a mechanic and I'll check with him when i get home and let you know, that is if nobody answers you before then anyway.
What I'm curious about is how you knew they were in there? |

When I had my Fusion I had problems with a mouse making a home under the hood during the winter. So when I got the Focus I got into the habit of checking under the hood every couple weeks to make sure nothing was nesting. Well I fell off the wagon and hadn't checked it for a few weeks. Had an odd feeling and looked under the hood. And thats where it stands...

If they're small enough, (they look like it) maybe a dowel rod with some double sided tape at the end??
