Rattle in tranny update

Took the car to Ford. There is a TSB(11-3-24) that states the rear tranny/engine mount can get road debris(rocks, dust, salt and water) in it and can cause a rattle. It is most apparent when idling and gear in reverse. Supposed to pull out mount and clean it and install a protective shield over it. Ford cost on the shield is $143, I get a discount through my work(I pay $106). Very expensive piece of plastic. Hope it works. I looked at my mount and there are small cracks in the rubber but still ok. .5 labour to clean and install. I could have done this myself, but if it turns out to not repair the problem at least it is something they did. The mount is very exposed and this shield may be something people want to put on. Part #2M52-16102-AB. Will try to get pics posted next week(car goes in on Thursday.)
