Son of a bitch the gas to get this back would be crazy. I'm going to pm you and maybe we can work out shipping.
Turtle, if yours was more towards a DD I would jump on it!

I need BOOOOST!!!!!!

it would be nothing to make the LS into a DD. the car just isnt quite done yet and will take a day or three to finish if you know what you're doing. now if you plan on driving 20 miles on the highway every day then no because the car isnt geared well for the highway. but then again neither is the 302... it just boils down to whether you want a DD with balls, that you dont have to work on right off the bat (or possibly at all for quite some time) or do you want a dd that will need a little elbow grease to get the ball rolling but has the capacity to make enough power to permanently affix your eyeballs to the back of your skull. both the LS and 302 are very good engines and treated right i could see either one being good for 100k miles. and by treated right i mean only occasional nitrous use in the 302 and stay on low boost in the LS except for once in a blue moon when you really want to blow somebody away and dont constantly beat the crap out of them.
there's my $.02 so do with it what your please. i would like to see both of these cars in my driveway personally but unfortunately circumstances conspire against me to have either of them right now. i can get financing for a flipping $60,000 SVT raptor if i want but i cant finance $10k to a car that i REALLY want. ![]() ![]() ![]() beans...

3.73 gears are a good street gear for my car. Not sure what you guys run gear wise in your other cars but in my Blown 540 camaro I run 3.91's. My car was built as a comfortable cruiser, that is why the A/C still works, key fob, alarm power windows, locks etc were kept. If you are looking for a turn key car that has the nuts to run low 12's or better than this is it.

no no no dont misunderstand please! i wasnt saying the car was geared badly to be driven on the street. i meant to say it isnt geared well to go long distances at highway speed. around town or a quick 5 mile jaunt down the highway is fine which is what i imagine when i think of a DD. good for around town but it isnt what you want to drive cross country.

I will put 50-60 miles on the car on a Friday or Sat night when I take it out to play. True, I would not drive it cross country but I have driven it at a sustained 60-65 mph for 40-45 miles going to some street runs. Mine is more of a DD than my others that have narrowed rears and are caged out but they are also capable of 9's in the QTR depending on how much boost I run.
