Important update: SPAL window kit

Hey all, I just wanted to chime in and say my SPAL window kit finally caused a problem after four years. I got my money's worth, I'd say.

The stock manual regulator broke. And when I say broke, I mean two of the six splines on the cable drive shaft sheared off and locked the whole works up. Upon closer inspection, the whole thing was shot. I suspect the monstrous torque of the SPAL motor was just too darn much for that little potmetal/plastic contraption Ford sticks in Focus doors.

I did find out, however, that if you wired you window for a SPAL kit, you can replace the whole works with a stock power regulator assembly and it works just fine. Just have to chop the connector off the Ford part and splice your SPAL wires in.
