Sunroof Visor

I have not posted too much yet, as the Focus is my 2nd vehicle I got to put miles on back and forth to work (almost 18k since feb so far.)

I know this is not in everyone's taste, but has anyone gotten a plastic moon roof visor? I noticed ford doesn't make one for the 2012+. I have one on my TSX and have had a few on previous cars, and they make such a difference on the highway with wind noise. I drive about 180 miles at least a day at 80mph, so during the summer months, I love to use the sunroof, I just wish it was a bit quieter!

Do you just vent it? Or when you put it back do you push the button until it stops then push it again to open further?

I've tried it all, most of the time I just open it until it stops itself, that seems to be the quietest, but sometimes i'll push it again to get that extra inch or so.

Venting is mostly in the morning on my commute, I just like the fresh air! LOL

Here's my updated pic. 2014 SE 5spd, almost 18k in 4 months, only complaint I have with it is the sickening amount of rock chips on the front end! Probably from interstate 81 or the salt trucks in feb/march.

I feel your pain. I bought mine brand new in Feb and have 12k miles on mine and my front end is covered in rock chips.

You are right about the quietest position. The noise doesn't bother me since my old truck you needed ear pro to go down the highway with the windows down.

Edit:
Do you have all the windows open or just the front 2 and sunroof?

Usually just the rear two open about an inch and the sunroof, that seems to work the best for me. With the windows up and sunroof open my Acura's is damn near silent! It was fairly quiet before I put the visor on, I just wondered if people were putting aftermarket plastic visors on, like avs or something.
