Engine Pulling
I am just about to finish pulling the engine block (2L SOHC) out of my 2001 SE. Just wanted to know if the fly wheel-torque converter bolts are undone thru the hole left after starter is taken out.I can see bolts thru starter hole but not sure how to get at them as the are slightly lower than the hole. Any advice would be appreciated.FYI head is already off the block. Was also wondering if cylinder compression ratings of 160-166 are good or bad ratings.
Thanks Colin |

There is an access plate you must remove at the bottom of the block where it meets the transmission. It is held on with two small bolts. It will be hiding behind the cat. converter pipe if you have not taken that off yet.
