2012 JD Power Results

the 2012 JD Power results will reportedly be little changed from last year since the MFT version released in March was outside the window that JD Power measured.

other items of interest:

90% of owners have performed the latest MFT upgrade

MFT satisfaction rates rose by 25% with the latest version

"The updated MyFord Touch software was sent to 377,000 Ford customers in March. To date, 90% have completed the upgrade and satisfaction rates rose by 25%, Farley said of fixes that make commands larger and easier to use on the touch screen."

With 90 percent upgraded and only 25 percent happy, that's not good.

I guess thats why a new MFT is on the way. Sometimes when MFT acts up, I feel like I'm part of the 25%. When it's all good, I feel like I've got the best car my money could buy.

Not 25% happy overall, but 25% happier, but happier than what? were they 100% pissed off before, only 75% unhappy, what? That's a meaningless statistic without the evidence to support it. But yes a 25% satisfaction would be terrible.

the satisfaction rate rose by 25%, not to 25%.....that's a significant move, so in general people like the new version better than the last version. the satisfaction rates quoted last year when the JDpower results were released we're in the mid 70s satisfied

PR people suck at percentages. Is it an increase of 25% or is it an increase of 25 percentage points? There's a huge difference.

Not to mention these are Ford's own internal surveys that he is quoting, of which there seems to be pretty much no information.

I think you mean part of the remaining 75% unhappy when it acts up. I agree with the last statement though. When the thing works it does feel like the coolest car money can buy.

the quote says an increase of 25% not 25 points, it's a statistically significant improvement

regardless, the improvement won't show up in the JDpower results because JDpower studies a timeframe before the upgrade came out

That's a shame. No matter the improvement, it won't matter.

Because that was the real problem, wasn't it? All those difficult to use buttons that had to be made 12x larger with massive handicap fonts so that people 3 cars back can read it.

Or they could have focused on the real problems.... all the glitches, bugs, lag, etc, that gave it such a poor rating in the first place.
