How to seat spoiler better

I installed OEM spoiler a couple weeks ago. Install wasn't too bad...but I had to use screws >.<. The edge part of it kinda sticks up a little bit though and couldn't get it to fit flush onto the trunk. Any way that I can maybe seal it down with something? See pic for what I mean. Thanks in advance.

My aftermarket one does exactly this when it's cold due to it shrinking a little bit. I've chalked it up to me only installing the screws in 4 places instead of 6. Is yours fully screwed down? There's a pretty fine line between getting it down and stripping the threading.

I think it's the only way to do it

OP, could you provide a link of the spoiler? I'm not able to find an OEM spoiler on ebay.

Right but you did it yourself...did you take any precautions to guard against rust at the drill site?

Of course. Followed directions to the T. Put some touch up paint on the drill points. I'll try the 3M tape and see how it goes.

I've seen people just drill through and leave it bare metal...
