Well if you break the Focus down into the three gens
1st gen 00-07
2nd gen 08-11
3rd gen 12+

there will be less after market and higher cost for the newer gens. Best value would be the first gens 00-04, followed by the 1.5gen (05-07) Read here for the specific differences between models

The older the car and the longer it has been on market means the more parts and lower cost.

I find it funny that 08-11 is "2nd Gen". How do you figure? They are all MK1s...

Not bashing you, saying I think it's funny that this site states that.

Most would classify the 79-93 Mustang as a generation and the 94-98 as another gen even though they share very similar chassis. The 2008 Focus looks different enough to the average person to classify as a 2nd generation even if the chassis is similar. Just my opinion

Agree. MK1, MK1.5 and MKIII only in the US-Canada. Mexico was the only NA country to get I-III's.

C170=MK I
C307=MK II
C346=MK III

I had a 2003 se basic equip. --» 136000 km (split port 2.0l)
Now I have a 2005 zx5 ses full equip. --» 64000km (duratec 2.0l)

I love the 1.5 Gen ( 05-07 )
Better engine (performance and durability) if we compare to zetec and SPI
The front bumper and head ligths are cool looking
The Dash is more attractive then the (00-04)
The car itself (zx5-zx3) looks sportier than (00-04) (08-11) even more with the GFX package.
Had mine 6 months ago for 5300$ and had only 58 000km , still can't believe it :D

You can find a lot aftermarket parts for a very good price.
