LX door swap to SE doors with power windows and locks. Please help?

So I have a 2001 LX with manual windows and locks, plain key, no frills. I have access to an SE donor car with all powers. I can swap doors. Once the SE power doors are on what exactly do I need to do to wire everything up?

Where does the wiring end up? If I can remove the wiring from the donor car without cutting it when I remove the doors I should be able to route it to where it needs to go in the LX shouldn't I?

continued...

Will I need to put my LX cylinders into the new donor doors in case I need the key to unlock the doors?

Can I buy any OEM remote key fob and program it to work with the donor power locks?

Can a central locking module be installed and where does it go? I removed the panel next to the front passenger door under the glove box (that's where I thought it would be if pre-wired) and there were 2 harnesses plugged in and an empty space for another harness, but no CLM that I could see. I don't really know what I was looking at nor what I was looking for though.

The main chassis wiring should be the same for all the cars assuming we are talking about the same year

If I were you, I would get a Ford Focus wiring manual for your year off Ebay. it should not be too much for a 2001

You have two issues: Windows and locks

The windows is just wiring. The locks is something else as there is some control module used- then there will be strange issues regarding the FOB

You might want to consider just swapping out the guts of the door instead of just swapping out the entire doors- maybe it will be a case of bleeding through 6 large holes instead of 12 small holes

Good luck!

Hmmm, I had assumed a complete door swap would be less painful, but I am no expert. I don't have access to the donor car yet and since there is no wiring from my doors into the the car I don't know where the wires connect to get their power.

hey, I don't mean to re-open a dead thread, but I was thinking of doing this same process. I have a 2000 ford focus LX with manual locks and windows, and we found that getting the full powered doors from another 4 door focus can be about $50 each door, or less during a holiday, at a car junkyard, and I was really curious as to how the process of swapping the doors could be accomplished. Like what kind of control module would be used and what all would I have to go through if I was really dead set on this task?
