Wow, that's some serious dedication!

I've been stationed at Fort Sam Houston (San Antonio) for a year and have only made it up to Austin once. When I got orders here anticipated going up a couple of times a month, but they're keeping me real busy here.

Yeah, I am on the road by 0345 during the week to start my work day with some PT. My friend went to AIT there. I have heard Fort Sam Houston is a busy place. I have drove past the exit several times on my way to Six Flags or Sea World, those are about 100 miles, give or take from my place here in Austin. Been down there about 5 times since I have been back from Afghanistan, my wife loves the theme parks. LOL!

The stock air box is a pretty good design. I bought my K&N CAI for appearance and performance. I like the fact that it uses a mandrel bent tube and utilizes the factory cold air snorkel intake. If I had a shop and more tools, I would've made my own.
Oh, I wasn't knocking your choice. Just glad to see we have so many options and they all work well.

Sorry, if I came across the wrong way. I think its great to see people that are going out on their own and trying to come up with new ideas to make more power or improve on our Foci. I know my gears are always turning in my head.

Mine too. As soon as there is tuning, more parts will follow.

Also, the ST will bring some parts we can use (such as cat-back exhaust and suspension bits).

Not really. The K&N Typhoon doesn't block off any of the stock induction. The part on the bottom of the stock box is the resonator. The Steeda blocks off part of the stock induction.

I totally agree. And a 200whp N/A Focus should be quite quick for a compact. Under 3000lbs helps...
