yea, got called into work today but i did it after. just got done with a drive and i LOVE it. It is stiffer (but in a good way) much shorter and all around a much better feel to the shifter. I had one issue with the fit and will let steeda know, but it wasn't something that stopped me. Pictures and videos are uploading now!

Q: for those that have the install instructions in hand. Does the transmission bracket need to be installed for the longer of the shift settings? Such as, if you want the shortest shift setting, the transmission bracket would need be installed.

Kinda not liking the idea of relying on a clamp to shift my trans through the years.

Nevermind.

I just read through Steeda's page about the shifter and the reduction bracket, and it seems the most reduction comes from the bracket anyways. lol 35% from the bracket, and only 15% from the shifter! lol Kinda makes more sense to just flip for the bracket at $65 and save yourself $130! lol

Don't know. For those that have the kit, is it all worth it? Or would you have saved on the shifter and just went with the bracket?

Something tells me that while the bracket would definitely be the way to go for a shorter shift on a budget, the Tri-Ax shifter is what really makes the feel of it much better.

I've driven a few cars with short shifters that have only used something like that bracket and their feel totally went to crap. It's was one of my main concerns with this shifter and why I asked REDFOCZ about the shifting feel.

Of course that's all speculation. Would be nice to hear from someone who either just got the bracket, or got the whole shifter and just tried to bracket first.

If only you guys would have asked two days ago! Installed mine over the weekend and would have gladly tried it! But I will say the whole package is great! It has a great feel and is much more solid than stock. The throw length is perfect. I am very happy with it!
