Steeda Short Throw Shifter for 2012 Focus (Now Available) Pics inside

So I installed the short throw and if I park kinda up hill with the car in first and the e brake down I rolls back. It drives great and it's engaging in every gear. I don't understand why it rolls back. I called Steeda and they said they don't know what's wrong.

Not that I can remember. I always use my parking brake so I don't remember. It's not that big of a deal, I just wanted to know if anyone else has noticed this.

That's a sign of a slipping clutch. Try parking in R.

Yeah, doesnt sound like a STS issue. If it were not fully engaging first gear, then you would know it while you are driving it.

How many instances did this occur? Did it roll back a few inches or are we talking feet?

There's quite a few variables and different things that could cause this.

How does the shifter feel in normal driving?

I personally always use the e-brake/parking brake when parking a manual car and some others additionally put the car into gear for extra protection from rolling. So I do recommend using the parking brake, however I would like to check into this further to be sure that it isn't any issue with our shifter as this would be the first we've heard of this.

I always use my e brake. After I installed it is when I noticed it. Parking up a slight hill aka my drive way it holds for 10 secs and rolss back 6 inches and repeats. If I park in reverse it does the same thing. While driving it feels amazing. All of the gears are fully engaging. I was on the phone with Frank from Steeda and trying everything he said as well. He told me to put it in 2nd and try it but it just rolls with no stoping. I will try to get a video of it and post it here.

sounds like your parking brake shoes are worn and needs adjustment or somehow while installing the STS the parking brake cable was released/removed.
but the parking brake is not engaging and your transmission is turning the engine since it moves 6inchs and stops and moves 6inchs again

No the e brake works fine. With it off and the car in gear it rolls.
