Finally installed mine. And to answer my own questions, I did a two part install with the bracket first. My review of that, is it is well worth the $65 in the amount of reduction it gives! However, this should only be for the budget minded as it left a "spongy" feel to throughout all gears. After the full install with the Tri-Ax added, the feel was much more solid! Was there a noticeable reduction with the Tri-Ax? Not really. The bracket really takes the grunt of it all. But for fine tuning, the Tri-Ax is a must have addition!

Also. For those that get the kit and are a bit intimidated by the install instructions for the bracket, there is hope. I successfully installed the bracket without removing a single item. A long phillips will pop the cable off, and rotating the gearbox lever will gain you access enough to turn a wrench. Now one thing I will add, is the instructions were not clear on what flashing to remove from the lever. I would assume if I were to follow all of the removal instructions, I would get a better view of the lever and would understand what flashing it was referring to. But to be clear, it is the flashing on the sides of the lever, where the bolts of the bracket are. I would recommend filing this smooth just in case.

Here is a shot of the space around the lever with everything still in it's place.

Pointing to the bracket with the lever rotated.

Nicely done sir! I like hearing that I wouldn't have to do as much work haha!

Sounds like you confirmed our suspicions as well about the bracket. Thanks for trying that out.

If you use it on the shorts throw you will need to do some trimming, not too bad though

To install the bracket you have to pop of the linkage here

And this is what it looks like with the bracket on

More pics are available apon request
I see you are running the "max throw reduction", just like me!

FYI, if you are clumsy and drop one of the 2 set screws down into the belly of the car while installing the shifter, they are 5/16"x1/4" and Home Depot has them in stock.
