The list of CBE at 2.25:

I know the debate is 2.5 is has been proven the absolute best(not really) no proof with current focus. Why has the majority of the manufactures used 2.25 pipes and don't say cost.

Flowmaster

Borla

Magnaflow

Exhaust that are 2.5:

FSWERKS

I assume since Ford uses Borla that the pipe is 2.25.

2.25' is fine for most naturally aspirated applications with smaller motors. That said I'm still going with an FSwerks exhaust when I upgrade and you can't beat the price.

Let's save the exhaust size debate for it's own thread Brabs, as I have a feeling it's gonna be a long one...

Only way to definitely solve that question is to have an exhaust shoot out with one car dynoed with a 2.25 then with a 2.5 exhaust back to back.

I'd love to see that since I have seen on some cars dynoed that did make less ponies with a bigger pipe in the lowend range which hurt real world acceleration.

I've got the KN intake on order, and once it's installed I wanted to dyno. I don't have a baseline though. I also don't know if I can keep these glasspacks on for that long either lol.

Yeah, and I have a feeling it's going to take a few examples before everyone is satisfied.

Hell, even then there are probably going to be those who question the results.

Well, you threw in your numbers for cat-back and intake and I'll be throwing in mine for full bolt-ons + tune (sounds like you will too) so I guess that's a start.
