Interesting. Someone with the stealth exhaust should cut off the tip and give it a shot... and give me the tip :)

I actually like the no tip idea. I had thought the same.

Here it is prototype #1

2.5 mandrel bent aluminized tubing with 2 18 inch glasspacks.....now to put it on and see what it sounds like. it is an exact copy, except the bend that goes over the rear suspension component. The machine couldn't quite duplicate (Almost perfect) the radius of the magnaflow bend and since it's 2.5 it didn't help. If this works and ppl like the way it sounds it could be for sale in the near future.

tubing with muffler location

magnaflow comparison

inside of mufflers

let me know what you guys think.

The borla sounds good! and I really like the no tip turn down look since there isn't a notch in the bumper. It keeps it very clean back there.

You could do two straight through mufflers underneath, and a stubby one tucked up in the back with a turn down.
There are always resonated tips...like this

Nice man! You've mentioned this in another thread right? Keep us updated.

You guys should just sell the tubing for those of us wanting to pick our own mufflers/resonators. I'd be interested for sure. Would be much easier to buy this and just cut off what I don't need than having my other exhaust guy have to bend more piping. Hope she fits nicely.

Interesting choice on the glass-packs. +1 for trying something new.

Well I normally just put the magnaflow catback on my cars, but we make the glasspacks and they are dirt cheap compared to all the name brand stuff. Just want to see what the absolute cheapest option in components and materials will get people. In theroy that's exactly what I would do sell the prebent tubing with no clamps or hangars so it would be the cheapest it could be. Then you would take it to a muffler shop and have them hang it and play with different mufflers and tips until you found what you like. You get a mandrel bent aluminized tubing for very little investment and spend all your big money on your Borla, and Magnaflow mufflers. This was a cool process scaning the magnaflow loading the pipe and in a few minutes you have an exact copy.........There is always the straight pipe option for those daring souls.
