Iirc the DCT in the Focus and Fiesta the 250 is referring to the max torque capacity which is nearer to 184 lb-ft, than 206, and chances are that would be the practical limit given the fact that they didn't put it the 1.6L EcoBoost which makes near as makes no difference to 200 lb-ft of torque on over boost, which would likely chew up the clutches up in the DPS6 sooner than the expected 150k service life, as even off overboost it would likely be at or over the torque limit of the gearbox used in the standard Focus.

A wet clutch dct can handle the higher torque loads.

Which edge? The 2.0L EcoBoost in the Ford Edge SUV uses a 6F35 automatic transmission with a torque converter.

Posted via FF Mobile 175whp and 151ft/lbs of tq with intake, exhaust and header....AWSOME! And yes, I sense that a tune will kick these numbers up quite a bit. Hurry SCT!!!!

God I want a 2012!

Wait, just to clarify, Focusboy is running an AEM Cai, an exhaust from(?), and a F2 header? Also what octane are these numbers at?

Finally found the page and thread where I got my info. Post number 55. Forum member is NotoriousNick.

If you read the post, he describes the difference in their fuel rating compared to ours. I suppose fuel quality could be an issue, but I'm fresh out of data pertaining to average fuel quality throughout Australia so that stays a theory until someone gets some evidence.

Anyone happen to have any insight into other cases where a company chose premium for a car that can run regular in other countries? I have some ideas, but would rather get facts over more speculation.

I guess it's thought that your current mods + header (minus the cat?) will get better numbers because you already hit 170whp? That and your car being a manual will let everyone see how high the torque numbers can get?

I personally wouldn't blame anyone for not wanting to go further than a cat-back and an intake without tuning. By themselves they aren't exactly great for a car that's already running on the lean side. I know my car isn't crazy about it.

I know I'm waiting for tuning before adding a header and going to the dyno.

Trust me, I'm excited to see people make great numbers like everyone else. However, I'd rather not see someone put undue stress on their car to get them.
