Just got a can of plasti-dip and went for it!!

I'm a newb at diy. But I figured not much harm can come from a can of plasti dip. I have a 2008 ford focus coupe se
I decided to use black plastic dip on my badges, fog head light caps, the trim around the tail lights. After that decided to do a door handle, side accent and the fading housing on my side mirror.

Here are the pics. (Sorry they are side ways. They were taken regular portrait style. Not sure how that happened! :/ ). Looks cool, was fun and easy.

I plan to do much more later on. Thanks for checking this out!

Looks pretty good man! I like. I don't care for plasti dip myself simply because it doesn't hold up as well as people say. but most of the time I see it on wheels and the tire just tears that stuff right off when its going on and off the wheel. You should be good since you stayed away from the wheels haha You did a good job for being a newb at DIY haha :p

Thanks man! Yeah the wheels arent a good thing to dip, I would agree. I've been told to powder coat those instead. Its much more durable that way. But for the little cosmetic stuff like faded plastics, it works really well. I'll remove and reapply the dip every six months. Just to make sure the sun doesn't destroy it.

Looks good. It can look good when done right and tastefully.

Fwiw: I plasti-diped my wheels and it lasted through this past harsh winter. I also have 4 coats on them.

Thanks a lot man!
The ford decal was originally done in rustoleom paint, bad idea when I was younger lol but I still put a coat or two of the dip to stay consistent.
Everyone knows a focus is a ford vehicle anyways. He he
I plan to keep the original ford decal in the front when I dip the grill, that I'll do later. Represent!
