Need to make sure your bendix isnt staying engaged , if it isnt loosen your starter bolts just enough to have some one rotate the starter as much as he can and hold it why you tighten the bolts , try both directions see if it gets quiet , bendix first

Thats how I had it set up. Just make sure the EBC is zero on all settings. Then you can start upping the settings. With the new turbo, you might have to go with the other set up. When I first installed the Comp , even at zero it was makeing like a minimum of 18 psi boost. With the other set up I could dial it down to 11 Psi. And we had it as high as 23-24 iirc. Try both ways to see which you like better.
And as far as the starter , just get a new one. That`s the original , with how many miles are on the car ??

OH , the bendix is the gear on the starter. When cranking, that gear / bendix
shoots out towards the flywheel and engages the ring gear to turn the engine over. If it is shooting out and the engine cranks and starts, it might be hanging up and spinning as fast as the running motor. Which sounds terrible. Also take the charged battery with you to the parts store, and have it load tested. Thats really the only way to test a battery...

that's not how I set mine up.....I plugged the air hole from the turbo and left one of the ports of the solenoid open to atmosphere. top port of wg goes to a vac line teed off of the intake then into the solenoid. and bottom port goes directly into the intake manifold port that the pcv hose used to go into. works great for me. I set bc to 10 psi and sure enough it holds it there

Well, the Comp didn't have the port on the turbo. I hooked that line up to a port on the pressure side tubing. Just before going into the throttle body. Same idea. This setup, according to Turbosmart, is to get maximum boost from your turbo system.

you should be getting boost reference off the IM not the comp housing. both will operate just fine and wont hurt any thing but getting it from the IM will accommodate for any boost loss through the IC and IC piping. you will usually see 2 more psi on gauge just by switching ref from the comp housing to the IM
