The Mk3 Focus is a modified version of the platform the Mazda3 and the Volvo C30 both ride on.

Still very similar, though.

I'd love to see if the struts from the MS3 fit on the Mk3 Focus. I know they'll fit the knuckle, but I don't know about length and location of the spring bucket.

No. They shared a generation ago (C1 platform but only for European model Foci) but don't directly share the same platform anymore. They are probably still similar, though.

Yes. Close enough.

If you want a modest bump in spring rates, there are plenty of solutions out there in the $200 range that won't require cutting. Hell, the FRPP kit gives you OEM fitment and a conservative drop (and you get new bump stops, too). Probably very close to these spring rates (just guessing that Ford isn't going super aggressive).

Now, if you just happen to have these on hand and like to tinker, I get that. But I don't really see why someone would seek these out?
I like to tinker and I am more concerned with handling than drop. Plus I am looking more at the spring rates I desire than how they work on an MS3. My MS3 experience just helped me make my decision.

No one is being forced to follow my lead, but it's just what I want to do and I thought it might be nice to share.

No, of course. I'm not trying to be antagonistic, just curious about your thought process.

I know you weren't. I just have bad roads where I live, so I need to keep as much suspension travel as I can.

I just hope it turns out okay.
