Really good article. Tons of good info in that article. Thanks again. I should be good, the hose is high temp and the turbo is clocked accordingly. Mark ran this setup for four years.

Wideband is installed in a temporary spot until I make the pod for it. I am having a little trouble finding a power source for it. Everything I spliced into is damn constant. Any suggestions are welcome. Which is weird because I tapped into the same source as my turbo timer and that only comes on after I turn the car on. For some reason, the gauge just stays on. Got tired of messing with it so I just unplug it for now when I turn the car off. Tomorrow, or Sunday, I will go ahead and mount the vacuum block and run the boost gauge to it so I don't have to do it later. When I install the turbo, I'll run the source and the rest of the lines to it. Well that's it all for now. Just waiting for the SCT to come in.

Find the wire for radio turn-on to power gauges.

Funny you mention that because I have the same problem with my aftermarket head unit. I bought the harness and the only way with that harness to get it to work was running the 12v to yellow constant. I have to manually turn it off. Never had that problem with any other car or stereo that I've installed. Tried multiple different sources. I even tried running a wire over to the ignition and got the same result. Obviously I've done something wrong somewhere. Just need to start from scratch. Going offshore fishing all day tomorrow but Sunday, I'll take it all apart and start over.

Not sure if anybody cares but I figured I'd show you guys a picture of the 6ft shark I caught.
![]() It was a fun day out there. Tons of fish. Back to the car. Still deciding where to mount the gauges so for now I'm doing it like this. Sent from my LG-P925 using FF Mobile |

Got the wire situation taken care of. There is a white/LT blue ignition wire in the kick panel which works really good cause there is a few grounds you can use there too. Time to solder and clean it up. Boost gauge didn't fit on the left side without crimping the vacuum line. Still looking at options for that. I plan on getting the aem truboost so I might just mount it in a bracket on the left side of the dash like fswerks did for their orange and black sema car.

Forget about the car, let's go fishing! I've never fished in salt water, looks like fun.
Glad to see progress.

Thanks Mark. Just let me know if your ever heading down south man and I'll set something up. I try to go as much as I can. That day we caught a bunch of snapper, amber jacks and sea bass. Had to reel fast because of the barracudas. Couple times didn't reel fast enough lol. A lot of fun.
Progress is definitely a good thing. Just waiting to get paid on the first. Exhaust, downpipe, tune. That's all I have left. Checked FedEx and the new flange comes in today. I'll post some pics. Waiting for the xcal to come in from Tom. That's it. I'll finish up the hotside once the downpipe is made. I mapped it out for how I think it will go but need to see how everything will fit together. Trying to find a good place to mount the vacuum block. Going to be somewhere by where the stock intake is. I'll post pics when I do that as well. Sent from my Nexus 7 using FF Mobile |
