My 09 did the same thing on the dyno. I was at McNews getting a N2o set up tuned at the time. Ray was able to tune the issue out. He said he had the same prob with a few stangs. If you have problems fixing the issue I would suggest emailing or calling Ray at McNews and talking to him about it.

I want to start off by saying that I don't want to bash Tom. He put a lot of work in on my car. We worked on the tune for over 3 weeks and probably 30 tunes and just wasn't working. The car would max out lean just in cruise. Thought we had it solved but it just kept doing the same thing. Couldn't drive my car for the duration of this. Then we got it going to where I could drive it but then it would go back to leaning out really bad. This time the car shut off on me while I was driving on the interstate. Kept backfiring and shutting off. I couldn't go above 40mph. The last time it backfired and shut off it was soo loud I thought I chunked a rod or blew the motor. So I told Tom what happened and told him I was taking it up to a local shop to get the car looked over to make sure I didn't kill the car. Car checked out and the guy was able to tune it that day to the point I'm at now. I don't think it was so much Tom as it was just the whole remote tuning process. Much easier to tune when the car is right in front of you. Haven't really talked to Tom since the last time the car messed up. Like I said, not trying to bash the guy or start a war on here, but that's whats going on as far as that.

The guy that did the tune I have now is Tony from tuners Inc here in Jacksonville. Really nice guy does a lot of the later model cars. He's done a lot of svt focuses around here too. Saw at least 3 up there when I went up there last.

Thanks bud. So we did about 7 dyno pulls and think we got it. He changed a few things in the tune and then it did the same thing. Then we let it cool for about 20 min then it went to 6000. Changed some more things and it went all the way to 6500 twice. Still not sure why it was doing it or if it will do it again. I wasn't getting hot by any means but it seemed like it was temp related. Something clipping on the car and shutting it down. Still not sure, but made better power than before. Sitting at 207whp and 191tq. Waiting still to up the boost. Want to make sure everything is good first before I make any changes. Its a fun little car for where its at.
