I was looking over that. I was looking at sheet metal or maybe another material I could use. The stock setup has those plastic flares to keep the air flowing into the trans cooler and radiator. Since it doesn't get too hot I might use a hard plastic angled in. What did you use?

Thanks again. Did you notice a difference in your iat's? I was reading some other forum and they were seeing a 15-20* difference. I'll talk to the guy doing my downpipe see if he can do that too.

Go to post #10 for IAT differences. These are MAF location temps though, not inside the manifold.

Good thread. I'm going to go look at some sheet metal options and I'll go ahead and do like tom said and measure it out with some cardboard. Going to do the heat reflector tape on the bottom of the intake manifold. Other than that, not much else I can do until I get paid.

Took a break earlier from watching football and installed the vacuum block. Nothing hooked up to it yet but just got it bolted down. It was dark so the photos looked like crap. I'll take some tomorrow. Only thing running to it right now is the boost gauge vacuum line that I ran into the cab. I'll go ahead and install the boost gauge tomorrow just to get that out of the way. Went with a different one than I had. This one should fit on the left like the wideband did. It is a cheap glow shift 30-30 but it will get me by until I get the aem truboost.

OK a little update for you. I installed the new boost gauge and pretty happy with it. I ended up putting the wideband on the left and the boost gauge on the right.
( excuse the cellphone pics) day:

Night:

Here is the vacuum block with he boost gauge running to it. (Gonna put some conduit around it)

Gonna run the line from the intake manifold tomorrow and make sure the gauge is working properly. Anyone know what the stock vacuum should read? Might try and finish the intake for the turbo too. I'm gonna try and get the cold side and the intake welded soon to get rid of the couplers. That's it for now.

Looks good, and familiar. :)
My vac is about 19 at idle. Could be gauge differences.
