they really shouldn't have tint laws, the popo don't need to see whats going down in my ride.
plus they say you can't see at night, BS. i can see fine, and if you get in an accident with too dark of tint cuz you couldn't see, it would be your fault obviously...

This is what I went with, very happy with the results. Will take some pics when I get it washed up.

And to think I got a $263.50 ticket for going 74 in a 55. Ugh.

Also, I think the dark tints look great on light colors! (e.g. Yellow Blaze, Race Red, etc...) Do you think I should get 35% all-around?

I had illegal tint on nearly every car I've owned including my current 4Runner and I've been pulled over for speeding more times than a few of you put together and I always roll down the driver's side windows, have all my paperwork ready and my hands on the wheel and tint was never brought up. Of course Colorado police aren't really traffic nazis like other states either.

If a cop is walking up to your car and can't see in it then he's nervous and will bring up the tint issue more than not. In short don't give cops a reason to be nervous during a stop.

Fumbling through your glovebox for paperwork to hand the officer as he approaches the car gives him a reason to be nervous.

Yup,that's why I have it in hand before he walks up and with the windows down (including back passenger window) he can see my hands and stuff in them even before he reaches the back of my vehicle.
That's my 20x being pulled over experiences since '93. I had a problem.

^^ That's why I keep telling everybody to go darker lol I went 50% at first too and it was a huge mistake. Dropped it to 12% all around and I'm satisfied for now. Still thinking I should have gotten 5%...

yeah, when you get pulled over, roll down your windows right away, then theres no reason for him to comment on your tint. simple as that

I've been pulled over for speeding more times than a few of you put together
challenge accepted.
in IL, the past approx 365 days, i've been pulled over i think 21 times? the past 2 years 26ish, and from when i first started when i was 16, about 30 times. i'm 20 now, in 4 years about 30 times being pulled over, 1 speeding ticket, in indianapolis. 81 in a 50 cuz it was the highway, but apparently dropped super slow.
i did totally call that i would get my first speeding ticket in my very first my own car, my SVT haha. good times. most recent time being pulled over was 2 fridays ago. i was in between messing with my exhaust, so it was super loudd cuz i had my ORP on and was waiting on a resonator. it sounds good now and now blaring loud.
my most impressive streak was 3 times being pulled over in 3 weeks, 2 coming within 3 days of each other haha
