Why not right?

I bought my mazda 6 back in october after a engine swap became apparent in my DD modded focus. I need another DD to take it's place.









I was in the market for a mazda3 being partial to focus, but I found this 6. Loved the power, interior and the look of the car I had it home two days later.













First snow.







First things to change was the brakes or lack there of.

I ordered the Powerstop 1 click kit.






















Then I fixed the emblem not sure what the previous owner was doing but it irritated me, and I removed the dealer decals.









My next goal was to fix the old and tired head liner that flapped in the wind with the windows down....

So I fixed it temporarily to get me by for a week or so. I bought a carbon wave headliner from headsupindustries.com



I just took the head liner out.




Will be re-doing the material tonight leave it to dry over the night and it back in tomorrow evening.
I used 3m adhesive.

After about 7 hours of cursing this is where I ended up.




Finished.

Then this past weekend...... a raccoon who I could see cross the road up in front of me decided to come back at the last second....







I just dropped it off at the body shop this morning @ 8am.

Thanks man. I just got off the phone with the adjuster, he said it going to $978 for the repairs. Then I'm paying $22 out of pocket for a bracket that goes on the passenger side that helps hold the bumper on.

When we bought the car it had some damage already and I guess that bracket had already been damaged. They won't pay for it which I fine. I admitted to it already haveing previous damage. So it need a front bumper anyways so glad its getting done right.

Are you ever going to prove the merits of chrome on the Mazda?

No I have picked out the wheels already that I want for it. I plan on gun metal or black. But polished did cross my mind. You can get blue lettering on the wheels to off set the gunmetal and I think it looks stunning. Work wheels from the emotion collection.

Are you going with a Speed front end or sticking with the sport?

Just sticking with the sport. The speed6 requires fenders, wheel well covers, hood, bumper, fogs, and bumper cover. I like the sport front. I do want to change the grille out soon though to either badgeless or the GT grille.

I just hate that chrome trim piece in the grille.... Other than that the sport front is fine.
