I like that it smoothed out the torque and power curves.

And the Power curve looks to be pretty consistent increase of approx 15 to 20 across the whole curve. not just a big jump at the max HP area.

I agree. The max hp numbers only matter .1% of the time. Manufacturers tend to create spiked peak just to get the highest on paper numbers they can.

On an unrelated note, cool to see someone from jax (I graduated from nease high school).

I actually have to stay out of this thread now since the HP mania is catching (been modding small cars since '93) and is a cycle for me and I have a 4Runner that gets attention along with the Subi. You're making me appreciate my (I mean, our) Focus too much and my wife doesn't like it.

I'd love an exhaust and an intake since it would just help overall driveability (and make up for some of the hp loss due to my 5800ft altitude) but the problem is the cost starts to add up to the point you might as well wait for the ST to come out and buy a warrantied and financed 250+ ponies which will easily be added to with simple mods.
But,the Focus is still budget minded for those of us who want to mod a little slower and I get that since that is half the fun instead of having the cash to be done with it in a week.

I am really enjoying seeing those numbers.

Posted via FF Mobile This is awesome, Ford most be underrating these engines slightly. These numbers do explain times being posted by magaZines as far as 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are concerned. God I want a 2012... Lol. Keep us posted, cant wait to see what a tune and running 91+ octane will net.

These numbers make me very happy.

Granted you are probably at a lower elevation than I am so I most likely wouldn't see 170, but my guess was that I'd see high 160's with our mods.

Looks like I was pretty close. Nice man!
