So for clarification purposes, you came up with this idea because you think an exhaust setup from a car with a boxer engine will make your exhaust sound like you have a boxer engine?

If so, your missing the fact that the boxer engine design creates the "boxer sound," not the exhaust design (there's nothing really special about it compared to other cars). However, I'm betting you know that already, so...

If that's not the case then please elaborate. I'm curious and slightly confused here :)

Or I guess you if just want the look that's cool, but your wording says it's more than that.

Clarifying...

I don't think this car has a boxer sound.

But a ton of people keep saying that.

I understand why the boxer has its sound.

I was just thinking of random things...

I do like the look of the STi/WRX exhausts.

I was just wondering how it would sound on this engine. I always like the Invidia sound. I'm loving the FSWERKS sound from their race exhaust but I want the dual outlets. So...

Just musing...

Sorry for the randomness and confusion.

you may try to find an OEM muffler from one though... they do have certain qualities that the common after market one may not.

there is a way to replicate the boxer sound as I've mentioned before (for other people, sonic) its in the design of the header.

Yeah, it's all in the exhaust pulses and the header set up... It could be fun to try and replicate.

Hmm... A Stock STi muffler might work... Interesting idea

I hate seeing this car. Everything looks just so right on it, yet in order to get it to the states I would have to take out a second mortgage on the house.

I mean, it even matches the Piano Black plastic! Seriously? I absolutely hated the Piano Black until I saw this car.

-Sorry. Just had to let the steam out.

I agree that the dual outlet would look awesome with the right valance to trim it off. Ford really screwed us in the rear (get it?) of the car with their lack of finishing touches on the exhaust.

No need to apologize, was just curious about why you were focusing on the STi exhaust. Carry on!
