i cleaned mine, roughed it up w/ steel wool, and painted it... less than 2/3 of a can... no problems so far.. paint sticks well.

Hi cobie,

When you get a chance, could you please post a picture of the valance from the same height so we can see the area in detail?

Thanks.

If the diagram is to be believed, it looks like it'll be the Zetec-S kit.

I have spoken to an ford australia engineer friend of mine who assures me that the part number is Definetly the zetec s kit (even went to triuble of checking with his european counterparts to be sure)and that it fits 5 door only as stated in the part cat, unfortunately some twit at ford used the sedan template for the part drawing which is what is leading to confusion out in dealer/ customer land but at least you guys can get the kit we in Australia miss out as ford Aus has no plans to release it here. Grrrrrrrrr

In that case, my friends dealer sells it cheaper and, I'm sure I can get it cheaper than their site lists.

K this has me thinking now, what if we were to get a peices of stainless steel and wrap it around the plastic of the oem bumper where you were to very carefully cut a place for the exhaust tip.

Thank you for the heads up.

The twin exhaust exits throw me off, as the Zetec S only uses one. The kit does look identical to the Zetec S kit otherwise.

checked that out with my mate at ford aus and his answer is yes the zetec s does run only one exhaust standard and according to him the diffuser is designed so that it looks ok with one or 2 outlets but it is the same parts and that it is also used in other places in europe(read germany) as "ford focus individual styling" where there are many other options available that we never see including eibach springs, 6 different 18' wheels, alloy pedals etc, further more he said that the body kit was available first as the optional individual styling pack and was then later factory fitted in the uk to make the zetec s which is the only place where it is offered as a seperate model and not just an option

mrmavx

ps if anyone knows of a cheap way to freight a kit out australia please message me (having a mate who works at ford still cant help me get one here)
