It looks like a 2013 base SE sedan would cost me $700 more than a 2012 SE with sports package and 203A.

The 2013 would have the alloy wheels, but give up the following from the 2012:

1. Rear disk.
2. Sirius (which I do not care about at all).
3. MyFord Touch.
4. Select Shift
5. Leather wrapped wheel?
6. Rear spoiler.

In order to get the leather-wrapped wheel and rear disk, I would have to get the appearance package (correct me if I am wrong) - which is would be about $2700 more than the 2012. And it still would not have MyFordTouch unless I also got the Nav with 8 inch screen. 8 inch screen would be nice, but don't feel like paying for it.

So I plan to buy a 2012 tomorrow.

It is likely I am incorrect about the differences, so feel free to chime in.

I've never experienced the rain-sensing wipers on the Focus, but I've got them on my BMW and I like them okay, especially when the intensity of the rain is changing a lot. What I really like (and miss when I drive the Focus in the rain) is speed-sensitive wipers. The wipers on my BMW increase speed as the car increases speed, and vice versa. It's nice when you're sitting at a red light to have the wipers slow way down. In the Focus, I find myself turning them off manually at stoplights because I've gotten so used to them automatically doing that on the BMW. Like you said, just another function of driving, so I don't really mind - just a little creature comfort I had gotten used to, I guess.

Focus ones do that too, sometimes even just stopping when you have. First time was a bit of a shock having it happen but you get used to it

yep, they are speed sensitive...AND you can adjust their sensitivity by turning the intermittent settings higher or lower whilr its set to rain-sensing.

For those that are curious.

29K CAD gets you a fully loaded Titanium with arctic white interior and Titanium handling pack.

33.5K CAD gets you a fully loaded ST.

Compared to the American pricing we are paying 3.5k more.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already....I was checking Ford Canada Focus 2013 information and came across a couple of interesting details.
1.Titanium spec is now equipped with heated rear seats
2.SE spec offers a SE Plus Package which includes "Touring Suspension"

That is confirmed by the order guide, which is odd, as the 2012 did not have this available.

"Seats – Heated – 2nd Row – 60/40"

But it makes no mention of heated 1st row seats on the Ti but the free standing option for the SE winter package is still available.
