Seriously, though - I might've been interested in the Sony audio on my SE order, and this "Black Pack" thing sounds intriguing. Hopefully they'll offer piano black fog light bezels (w/o the chrome rings like the Ti gets) because I'd be interested in retrofitting. If they do the black headlamp surrounds too (it seems like they would) I'm going to be annoyed that I didn't wait!

Wonder if the SE Appearance package will get the Standard or Touring suspension? That's the big one, to me.

EDIT: Okay, I see the full post now. Black fog light bezels, check. Black mirrors and spoiler, too - might've been cool, but not too fussed.

Is Yellow Blaze discontinued?

Black Package includes black fog lamp bezels, black rims (same as previous SE sport), black mirror caps, piano black grille, and black spoiler. Available on hatchback only.

SE appearance package does not mention any suspension upgrades. The only suspension upgrade noted is in the Titanium Handling package.

Don't see yellow blaze in the color chart.

good call, I thought it said SE package. And RE 12 owners, I don't think Ford will offer anything for a backup camera.

This is the reason why they add features to create more buyers!

Well, the problem is that Ford is less than forthcoming when it comes to the suspensions on these vehicles.

Both the regular Titanium and SE Sport used to be specifically marketed with "sport-tuned suspension" as a feature. Parts catalogs reveal a standard suspension (S, SE, SEL), touring suspension (SE Sport, Ti), and handling suspension (Ti w/ handling package). For whatever reason, Ford dropped the "sport-tuned suspension" language from marketing materials mid-cycle, and the assumption was that the cars were de-contented - but owners have continued to receive the touring suspension on appropriate builds (based on cross-reference of part numbers).

The question is, with the introduction of an explicitly sporting model (the ST), the availability of a manual transmission with the Titanium Handling Package, and the discontinuation of the SE Sport Package, where does that leave the SE? It seems like a good time to remove the touring suspension from builds, if they want to.

Or they could continue offering multiple levels of suspension tuning without explicitly informing the consumer of what they are buying - after all, they've been doing it already for how many months? It's hard to predict really without knowing why Ford has been so secretive in the first place.

Sonic Blue is still listed. In fact, they seem to have added another blue, Performance Blue, which I thought was just going to be an ST color. Maybe that will replace Yellow Blaze as the "sporty" premium paint?

I just noticed that Frosted Glass is out, too.
