Can't see how the clamp on part connects to the twin tubes.
But from that angle it looks like it might even block off the exhaust at the top and bottom a little.

Exhaust tip from China is JUNK

Buyer beware when buying these exhaust tips shown from China. I fell for it and bought one last Sept for my new 2013 Focus and yesterday, Feb 10, 2013 noticed it was almost falling off my car. Turns out there are 3 whimpy spot welds attaching the piece with the mounting screws to the shiny end of the tip and 2 of these welds had broken. Thankfully I noticed and it didn't fall off on the freeway at 70 mph. So it lasted 4 months for me. Didn't even stay on my car long enough to rust like I saw in one of the photos posted in this thread.

the only time you see the gap is if your really close and low...oh and I could see the stock pipe after installing it so far back so I took a can of black spray paint and shot 2 sprays of it through the mesh to hit the tip and hide it...looks great IMHO for $20+ bucks it's a good deal we will see how they last.
Did the same thing, i first installed it and saw the bolts then pushed it back and it looks better than anything else ive seen
