Yeah I told him what exactly it was and gave the part number. He noticed it was missing a number and said he needed it to find the exact part.

I suppose I misspoke as well. It wasn't that he didn't know what part it was (after I confirmed it on the diagram he pulled up, he knew what I was talking about), he just needed to know if the missing number was 3,4, or 5 after he had found that there were different versions (different model years).

It was then that I went back to your post on here on my phone and noticed the part number in your picture and everything was clarified. Thank god you had taken that picture haha!

If I order from the link sonic posted, is that all I need? I read where some were needing the bolt too, I'm just checking here to make sure before I spend any money. I'll have to do this next month after my move.

Mine just got delievered a few minutes ago from the link that was posted, it is the right part and no it doesn't come with a bolt. But I'm sure I can come up with one.

Just Ordered mine this afternoon. I asked the parts guy about the bolt, but he said he couldn't look up MS3 parts without a VIN .

I did look back through the thread and found this photo that andcool69 posted of a parts breakdown and it looks like it lists 9YA02-A226A as the part number for the bolt.

Can anyone else that has ordered the mount confirm that is the correct part number for the bolt?
never actually ordered that bolt, I picked mine up from a local true value (conveniently i work there too lol) so i can't comment on that.

Will a hardware store bolt work? We have true value and fastenal around here with tons of metric bolts. I know some things absolutely require the stock bolts, I figured in this location, a regular bolt would work fine.

It did for me. It was metric (I honestly forget the size, but it think i posted it earlier in this thread) but just take the mount in and match up a bolt. I also discovered a Class 8.8 metric bolt is equal to a Grade 8 bolt in SAE (not sure if you know what this means but pretty much it is harder then standard bolts and can take more before it breaks) and that would be what you would want for this. Hope that helps a little!
