Okay, so I'm new to FF and require some guidance. Bought a '00 ZTS 5-Speed back in January. Has engine and tranny issues but they're being dealt with. Buying a newly rebuilt motor and having the tranny rebuilt. Though when I went to look for used motors they were asking for intake #'s and what not. No one could tell me where to look. SO, now that I'm biting the bullet and starting from scratch I'm looking to take my old motor and build it into a turbo charged project motor. Been doing some research and know that I'll be changing the pistons out for lower compression ones, cams, header, injectors, clutch, turbo and of course the exhaust. Anyone have a full list of proper modes, rebuild kits and the such? I wanna do this project right. Don't want to have it all put together and miss something. Thanks

Thats what the search buttons for. Not to be an ass but we do this everyday with someone asking the same question. I can only assume you have a zetec motor correct. You will need the following and ill prolly forget something but someine will chime in. Turbo. Turbo manifold. Intercooler. Intercooler piping. Oil feed lines. A spare oil pan(for welding turbo feed line) Not nec. But aftermarket intake mani. Plugs. Wires. Coilpack. Pistons. Rods. Cams. Arp studs. Performance bearings. Hi flo cat. 2.5-3.0 diamater exhaust. And a tune <very important. This is off the top of my head for the reserch i have done oh and iif you can find one a j&s safeguard

Thanks. This helps. And I have done searches but none are as direct as I'm trying to get. It's usually one guy giving HIS advice while another is either smashing on it or just one or two mod posts at a time. Then the discussion gets into turbo kits which I'm staying away from. After building an '87 Turbo II Rx-7 I know my in's and out's of what I should be asking on a forum.

I dont feel you need an aftermarket intake manifold or cams , I would use stock and save you about 800.00 , run 2-3psi more boost and have the same HP but with 800.00 saved

most important is to build the bottom end before the top end. you can skip out on the cams head and aftermarket intake mani for now and still reach up to 300 whp with forged internals
