i/e 2.3pzev vs stock civic si ????

I was looking around and i found a thread related to svtf v"s civic si. this is what it said:

"stock SVTf vs. Stock Civic Si
I am curious as to what the outcome might be if anyone knows.... The manufacturer specs are listed HP (170 vs. 160) and TQ (145 vs. 132). The 2 seem to weigh nearly the same amount (2750 vs. 2778). "

I was wondering is my lightly modded (MM CAI/custom Magnaflow catback) pzev keep up or possibly beat hondas elite civic car? I knowwe have way more tq than them stock (149tq)and we also weigh less than even the svt.(2600lb) That'd be sweet if we could.

also in addition it'd be nice if you guys could post which other cars you THINK i could keep up with with these lil mods. like a stock svt, stock gsr, stock wutever, lightly modded wutever, heavily modded geo metro..wutever. Hav fun just keep it real.

THANX

Stock Soob 2.5 RS and any stock Soob with the EJ 2.5NA will not keep up with a lightly modded Duratec. MM CAI and FS Flex back.
Cheers.

ok it appears a lightly modded 2.3 would also be able to beat a 3000gt sL

I dont think it would be hard to beat an si at all. I drove my cousin's si with intake and a header and I honestly think my pzev w/intake is faster.

yeah a stock Si shouldnt be a problem. With just a little modding our cars can be quite fast. I think with CAI, flexpipe back exhaust, cam adjustments and the balance shaft removed, we might be able to keep up with a stock GSR. Someone not to long ago posted a 15 flat 1/4 mile time with those mods, so it is possible.

I think the si's run 15.7 stock but they probably wouldn't see the gains we do from intake and exhaust. I have intake/exhaust with jack/tire and back seat taken out. I have beaten a couple si's. One of them had exhaust and lowered with rims but thats all i could tell from looking at him. On the track ofcourse I actually wanted one. Glad i got the focus
