Plastidip Side Runners

Hey everybody,

I'm the proud to-be-owner of a white 2013 SE+ with the 5spd manual. At least...when the factory delivers it to me :(. It's going to be 8 painful weeks of waiting. Definitely looking forward to owning it, and perhaps modding it up performance wise in the summer months.

For now, when I get the car, I'm definitely plasti-dipping the wheels (love the look of flat black wheels) and the grille as well.

I'm also considering doing white plastidip for the black trim along the rear bumper and the side runners. IMHO it gives it a bit more of an aggressive stance than the black rubber that it has on it (if you look carefully, the ST has this).

Hence my question -- has anyone done this and have a picture of it? I'm concerned that it won't be a good match with the white of the car.

If I was going to do this I would use the duplicolor stuff. I've used my color and its a perfect match. But, it's not as easily removable as plasti dip.
I say do it, if you don't like it, peel it off. That's the point!

How do you use duplicator? Don't you need the color code for the focus first?

My local autozone stocks my color. But if you want to order online you need the color code I believe.
You can find the color code on the door jamb sticker once you recieve the vehicle.

I thought about/still might do this, but it would be easier with a lift.
