I did this log earlier this evening.

0~2 seconds: Steady throttle in 2nd gear. A/F (commanded and actual) is mid to high 14's as expected.

2~10 seconds: WOT, fuel rail pressure goes up to 2000+, A/F (commanded and actual) are in the mid 12's, fuel system remains in closed loop.

10~19 seconds: Foot off the throttle, A/F actual off the scale because of fuel cutoff, fuel system is open loop.

You need to figure out a way to post spread sheets, those graphs are vertically useless.

Something like this. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/64314401/4th%20Gear%20WOT.xlsx

What does this apply to?

On a Mazdaspeed 3 (for example), when the PCM transitions to OL at WOT, the OBD data for equivalence ratio is valid (you can see the A/F hitting ~10:1).

If valid data is not output, then what is?

Kabigon, then your readings show the same results as mine basically. 14+ when not full throttle, 12.0+ when wot.

Are you saying that the standard mode 1 PID data for fuel system status is invalid on the 2012 Focus? That's what most monitoring devices look at.

That's how it came from the factory. In any case, it's nothing to worry about.

My car is stock. I don't think that I ever implied otherwise.

When I said "Could this be attributed to PCM calibration differences or...?", I meant different PCM calibrations that came from Ford.

one last time, I would like to thank Ox-y-GenIII for his results in reassuring (which I had no doubt about FS Werks claims to ~167 bhp) form this type of modded focus.

Sorry, I haven't really polished this for public consumption. The graph was intended for the purpose of "seeing what's going on" without the need for exact numbers.

I'm don't know if it's obvious as to how to read the graph.
For example, the range for commanded AFR (green) is 10 (bottom) to 20 (top), so each major division is 1 and each minor division is 0.5.

The file created during logging contains raw CAN data and timestamps so it is possible to convert it to CSV. I will probably do this in the near future.

That's good to know. Your car isn't PZEV, is it?

I'm surprised that more people don't monitor/log OBD data (especially considering that the 2012 has a wideband O2 sensor).

Since you mentioned this, does anybody know if the Torque APP for smart phones able to do this? If not tell us the best way to go about this, Thanks.
