Has anyone disabled their dash lights?

I'm not sure why Ford felt the need to include indicators for parking lamps, fog lamps, and high beams on the dash as bright as the sun. I much prefer the small LCD that shows the same information. Is there a good way to disable these without affecting anything else? I don't mind disconnecting the LEDs in the cluster, but don't want to break anything else.

The only one that bothers me is the high beam indicator. I think you'll have to actually pull the diode.

You can adjust the brightness of the cluster. There are two buttons by the headlight switch.

That does nothing to decrease the brightness of the high beam indicator.

I try to hold the steering wheel in a way that blocks the high beam light. It really is quite bright, probably so that you'll notice it if they happen to be on during the day.

A simple "Highbeams On" text in the LCD may have been nice.

You guys most live in some rural areas.... I rarely ever use my high beams so I guess this isn't really a concern for me.

However, you complain it's too bright, you know there was someone before you complaining how nothing clearly shows them their high beams are on.

Ha ha
It's good to be able to know your high beams are on so you don't blind someone into hitting you! lol

I don't really pay that much attention to the little lights in the dash, too busy watching the road. I live out in the sticks and have not had any problem with the lights.

I guess I'll see about taking it apart. If I find out anything interesting I'll be sure to share.
