2012 Ford Focus SE!

Hey guys,

I am a long time Focus Fanatic member, who used to drive 2003 Ford Focus.

Now, I am getting a used 2012 Ford Focus sedan (just for a change). It will be black and of course it's SE.

So, I plan on doing a very little mods to the car since it will be a daily driver. I just want to add a little oooph.

I plan on doing just the drop-in filter, getting the ST 18 inch black wheels and the axle-back exhaust, at least until I paid the car off.

Does anyone know how to do the snorkel delete? I'm not sure if I want to cut or open and delete the snorkel myself.

I heard that there is an axle-back exhaust for the Focus, so where can I find it? I looked around and most of them have cat-backs.

FRPP has an axle-back. It's kind of spendy for what it is, but if that's what you want then jump on it

I'm not too far away if you want to drive out to goldsboro lol. I can help you with the snorkel if you don't want to do it yourself. It is pretty dang easy though.

Don't tell me I am lazy when you have not read what I just said above... that's unnecessary. Comments like yours will be ignored as I don't have time for rude comments from anyone.

Thanks to anyone else for being willing to give a fellow Focus owner a hand. That's what TEAMWORK is about.

lol.. I'd have to make a drive out there at some point. Do you do the snorkel delete after you get the drop-in filter or it can be done with that mushy stock ones? lol. I read the part where it looked obviously easy, but I'd feel better if somebody show it to me haha.

I just saw it on the FRPP website after you mentioned it.. That's exactly what I am looking for, it sure looks expensive just for axle-back, but if there is no other websites that offer them, I will take Ford Racing one then.

Thank you. (rep!)

You can do the drop in or the snorkel delete in either order... the combo of the two is what gives you the gains.

No problem, and thank you!

Not that you have to, but in my opinion I would recommend a full cat-back. Not only will you not see any actual power gains with the axle back, but as stated-it's expensive for what it is. While it definitely looks better than OEM, for only a couple hundred $'s more you can get the full system and some decent gains in hp/fuel mileage. FRPP, Borla, and Magnaflow are three of the best rated/sounding systems.

The FRPP is essentially a re-branded Borla and you can save some money on it by ordering it through either Village or Tousley Ford. The Borla isn't overly expensive, and AutoAnything will even match Amazon pricing if Amazon is currently beating it. I fought long and hard to get the Borla kit, but it wasn't going to get to me in time for FF13 so I went custom. The Magnaflow is usually the priciest of the three, but I've never seen a bad review of it.

Just something to think about

I just noticed that you aren't too far away from me either, so I could also meet up to help you with the snorkel delete. It doesn't take too long, but I understand the uncertainty of tearing into a new vehicle. I've done it on mine and a few of my local friends' vehicles.
