Relocating IAT

So... I dont think I ever did this with my suck through kit. Uh, how can I check to know? This might explain the funky temps I was seeing last year.

Not sure about the Zetec MAF but the Duratec MAF has the IAT sensor built into the MAF.

So to get the right intake temps from the IAT sensor one would have to cut the two wires connected to MAF for the the IAT and purchase a separate IAT sensor which would be installed after the intercooler; then simply run the two cut wires to the new IAT sensor and your done. The ECU will be getting the correct MAF reading while also getting the exact temperature of the air going into the motor after it had been pressurized and cooled down through the intercooler. Tweaking the tune would probably be a good idea with the correct IAT readings.

If your MAF has 6 wires still connected and going to the MAF then more then likely your IAT is still in the MAF
If you have 4 wires to the MAF then more then likely you have the IAT relocated

Its the 2 end (on each end of the MAF plug in ) that go to the IAT

Alright my IAT was still in the maf. I decided instead of relocating it, Im just gonna make the switch to blow through and put this suck through to rest. Should fix some of my heat issues too because of new piping being placed away from the engine. So for blow through ill need mafia, 3 in maf pipe and then new piping right? I think thats all ill need besides a new tune.
