What wheels are those? Look like VMRs maybe?!?

I'm curious how the SE Focus compares to your 2k SVT as well. I've always liked those cars but have never taken the plunge and bought one.

Thanks. I have head that I need to lower the car now from a few different people. The Ford Racing Handling Kit does look nice. However being a DD even in the winter and needing to save the funds for that it isn't going to happen anytime soon. Part of the reason I ended up with a set of wheels is I am going to run snow tires on the stock wheels.

Wheels are Axis XMX, 18".

Compare the Focus to the 2k SVT .... I wouldn't in a way. These cars are completely different. Just on the outside the Focus has so much more technology, refinement and fit and finish. Now not to say the SVT isn't great but it isn't the same.

I learned to drive on a 95 Contour SE, 5-spd with a V6. There is something about the sound of the Duratec that has just stuck with me, the secondaries opening, etc. Now the Focus has similar power to the standard Contour V6, and with the variable cam timing has the same type of feeling in power application. I do find both cars fun to drive, but in very different ways. Bother handle very well, however the SVT has ST200 struts w/H&R springs and FSVT wheels with 225/45R17 Hankook RS-2's. Granted the Focus now has 235/40R18 wheels, I will have to see how it handles more as the tires break in.

Maybe I can relate it this way, I am thinking of the Top Gear episode, I think that was the show, that was comparing the F50 to the Enzo, iirc. One is very heavily computer controlled and one is not. Each are great, but in very different ways.

Thanks for the review and the thoughts on that particular comparison. I figured they might be to different animals, but was curious anyway.

I think I might have to look into the Axis XMX wheels as well. The look great on both cars I've seen them on now!
