Misfire,
When you take the panels off, can you see the USB1 port under the MFT? My dad is looking to hardwire the USB1 for my mom's escape and hide the ipod behind the glove box. And to turn the center console USB into the USB2 so she can charge her phone (there is no music on her phone)

Tht hood bulge is pretty sweet but I still like the RS hood vents, think they'd work together? Hood bulge and vents on the side of it?

I don't know about MFT but on my car without MFT the USB 1 is right next to the USB 2. Uses same type of connector.

How do you remove the panels?

In the passenger footwell there is a square plastic piece in the centre console side panel. Remove it with a flat screwdriver in the slot at the front of the square panel. There will be a round plastic thing inside, pull it out. It will be difficult but it will come out. A new one is about a dollar if you break it.

With the passenger seat slid all the way back pull the rear of the centre console side pannel out starting at the bottom. The whole panel will slide out with some maneuvering
