I may go that route, any issues with alignment, and would you suggest them for a car that has a 160 mile a day commute?

Yeah... Just find one with a 12x1.25 pitch and it'll fit. Luckily this one fits perfect just torqued down, no need to use the set bolt. The shift pattern lines up perfect with it torqued all the way down.

I've already figured out a remedy just need to find the part. I was going to use a drill bit stop (ring with set screw) and just mash the stock boot holder between it and the knob.

It gave me about 1/2" shortening in height. I was hoping for a little bit more but I like it!

I just got my die in the mail to try to cut the threads lower. I want to drop my new knob about an inch.

Cool man. Keep us updated on the fix. I think I'll be picking one of these up.

That's a pretty good idea though. I suppose rubber grommets or something would work as well, just might not be as secure.

I ordered them from autoanything.com Fast shipping and the customer service was great. Even had a coupon for 25 bucks off. I have no alignment issues. The alignment was not changed. For a160 mile commute its really just up to preference. Like I said I don't think the ride quality has diminished any. So to me length does not matter.

I hate the flat black trim on the 2012 lower bumpers and side skirts and I hate the shiny lunchbox peeking out from under the rear bumper like a fat girl’s thong. So I decided to paint it all, trim silver and lunchbox black. It came out pretty nice! Doesn’t match perfectly, but I couldn’t find exact matched paint and it is good enough for me. Check it out:
