The new DEI Titanium wrap is where its at! Is any of the hot side parts coated? If so, wrapping is often a bad idea.

Also, for cold side piping, don't wrap with heat wrap. Use a good gold foil, that reflects heat where the wrap will hold the heat in.

Yup I bought a few rolls of the new DEI Titanium wrap, got half the header done... none of the hot side parts are coated.. I never thought of wrapping the cold sides.. mmm got any linkies for the gold foil? I was planning on buying a turbo blanket any thoughts?

If the turbine housing is stainless, yes. If its ductile iron, no.. It will blow up and take the turbo with it. Iron just isnt able to take the heat that a blanket will keep in it/create. But, a blanket takes engine bay temps way down and, increases spool.

Love the look also of titanium wrap and the factbyou don't need to wet it or spray it with silicone. Bought some for my svt header over a year ago.

For heat shielding check out Thermo-Tec or Pegasus Auto Racing.
