If you keep the stock cat it will be pretty quiet. You don't gain much performance wise though.

to be completly honest i had the same perdicament. however. DO NOT rely on youtube. the videos never show any bass so all of them sound like weed wackers. TRUST me the borla 2.5 catback is absolutly amazing sounding. the reason i went with them was because my uncle put a borla catback on his 03 cobra and it was by far the best soundin exhast i ever heard on one of those cars. so if you want my humble opinion BORLA IS THE SHIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTT get ittttt!!!!!!

Yeah its so hard to tell on youtube. Cause most the time they put the camera right up against the exhaust. But out of all of them I thought Borla sounded the best.

I'm curious how you are getting either exhaust system for the same price? Originally I ordered a borla catback for my SVTF and it was around $550, but the borla was on a 6 week back order so I went with the magnaflow instead, which was only around $300...

I have a off road pipe, Cfm flex pipe, and magnaflow cat back. Toms tune changed the sounds of it and it sounds really good IMO.

Borla, with a small resonator.

I have this setup on my SVT, love it. I dont think Ford Racing makes thier setup anymore, but trubendz (aka: mandrel bent exhaust, as shown above) is very similar.

This ^^

I have an SVT header, cat, flex setup on my focus right now. At first I had a homemade side exit exhaust with glass pack. On stock manifold, cat it sounded good. But with the header setup it was louder and raspy. So I then switched to a 2 1/4 magnaflow with resonator. It had a nice tone at lower RPM's but was raspy up top. Plus I lost power compared to the side pipe, especially up top. Now I run a Trubendz 2.5" with magnaflow resonator and borla muffler. Nice low tone to it, quiet enough to not bother people, but yet know something is done. And it flows much better than the magnaflow setup did. Now I know part of that is the bigger piping, but since the SVT piping is around 2 3/8" anyways going smaller than 2 1/2 is more restriction anyways.

I say Borla with resonator. I'm sure you'll love it.
