who would win? 2.3 zx3 VS. 91' 3000 GT

i would like to ask you guys a question, who would win? My stock 2.3L ZX3, 5 speed Vs. a 91' Mitsubishi 3000 GT (stock), 5 speed with 150K miles on it and not a really good driver, forget the driver. Who do you guys think would win? I want to race him 'cause I heard he was saying that he could beat me because his car is a 6 cyl and mine is a 4 cyl. Any help appreciated.

what model 3kgt? if its a non vr4 i dont think youll have a problem, sl's ran mid-high 15s stock with 222hp but with that many miles and so many years i doubt hed win

The 3000GT is an SL, I don't think I would have a problem either. Thanx.

While I'm not saying you'd lose, I wouldn't say your not going to have "no problem". Yes, the car is about 600 pounds heavier than yours, but with 222 hp, and over 200lbs of tq, I think that makes up for alot. The mileage doesn't necessarily mean anything, unless the car has been very neglected.

Non VR-4's weigh nearly 4000lbs and have a puny 222hp V6. This equates to a 9 second 0-60 and a nearly 17 second 1/4 mile. Look it up, they are pathetic.

i used to own a stealth so im pretty up on stats, the 17sec ones were the base 3000gt which was a sohc and like 160ish hp, 3kgt sl's weigh about 3300-3400 not 4000, more if it was a convt, but he said 91 and it wasnt offered then

You will win, my friend raced a stealth with his matrix and beat it badly. I raced my friend with my foci zetec and beat him by a car and a half. If the stealth is a base for the 3000GT, you will win. Post the results.

stealth/3000gt = same car different name plates, everything is mitsu in fact most things on the stealths even have mitsu logos on them, if youre running the base sohc stealths or 3000gt yes youre going to stomp them the SL 3kgt or R/T stealth had dohc 222hp and ran mid-high 15s but with the weight it kinda dogs off the line

Thank all you for the help. I checked in some websites and the result was a 91' 3000GT 1/4= 16.4 with a 0-60 of 8. something. In my situation I think I would win, he really does not know how to drive well yet and with these specs plus the worn over the years I think I'll have him.

i agree with you. Puny is the best word.
