New car day

Finally! After a long couple of months and a couple pushed back ETAs my factory ordered Ruby Red 5 spd Titanium Focus came home (only to be promptly driven to the tinting/3m shop to spend the next couple of nights getting road ready).

The deets first:
-Ruby Red 5 speed Titanium Hatch.
-Handling package with 18s.
-MFT sync and Nav.
-Luxury package with charcoal leather and moon roof.
-Block Heater.

Basically, all of the goodies minus the 6 speed DCT, the park assist and the two-tone leather. Total MSRP $29,449.00 and I picked it up for $25,500 all in. Passed on the extra warranties but went ahead and got the maintenance package.

Drove right from the dealership this morning to the tire shop to get my winter's put on, installed my Husky liners right after that. Once it comes back with tint and 3m I'll be putting on my Rokblokz mudflaps. The Ford dealer logo (which I told them in advance not to put on but they did anyway) and the license plate holder are coming off right away. Plastidip the badges. That's all I've got planned for right now but I'm sure more will come to me as I go along.

Now, picture time:

So when I went to see it when it came in on Thursday I noticed that the door had been pushed in and wasn't flush along the runner panel on the bottom. So my dealer sent the car to his dent guy to suck it out and set it right but when it came back this morning we all agreed the job wasn't done 100%. So it's going back to the dealer early next week and I think I'll probably end up needing a new door because of the placement of the dent. Here's a couple pics to show you guys what I mean.

Here's how it should look:

Here's some close ups of how it looks on the other side. You can see the dent and how it's all "curvy" or "wobbly" for lack of better words. The dent is more obvious now, whereas before it just looked like it wasn't flush. I think the dent guys damaged it trying to put it back together. Sigh.

Aaaand because we all love pictures I'll leave you all with some pictures of the parts that look fantastic

Winter wheels

That's all for now

Drive down to Whitefish and have a beer at the new Casey's. It wasn't open yet when I was there last summer. I miss the old home town. Bummer. Alberta tags aren't yellow anymore!

Congrats on the hatch! Nice. Like the snow wheels. Looks good.

I might just go ahead and do that, Dad. I've never had a reliable enough car to go on a drive like that so when the weather gets a little nicer I think a trip down to Montana might just be perfect. Thanks!

Yes, of course this thread got moved, because a new MK3 purchase is totally off-topic in the MK3 section. Some people's sorting algorithms are mysterious to me.

Seems like a perfectly legit Showroom thread to me. No need to keep all the MK3 related stuff to yourself

To the OP, nice ride!

Nice, but for 25K, I would be in a ST.

The ST costs more in Canada, so you couldn't get one for 25.x k there as there are no incentives on the ST.
