I'm a fan of the super base model Mustangs. Mine was too. No wing, no fancy grill. Nothing. It's just a pure shape. I was a huge fan of the 2008 Mustang Bullitt and I think these base 2012's carry on that simplicity.

I can't see the stripes, but I'd pull them anyway so the car is easier to wax.

Thanks! I agree 100%. I changed so much on my focus (and had side stripes) that with this car I figured Id let the wheels and drop do the talking and leave the rest as simple as possible. The feedbacks good so that plan is working out well.

Too many mustang guys rice them out with badges, stick on shit, stripes, etc etc. It all just winds up being very tacky

Looking good.

Beautiful car. Those new wheels are a big improvement. Darker silver is trendier, but that bright silver is perfect with Kona Blue. The styling on the 2012 is more in line with your "simple as possible" plan than the 2013's, which remind me of the front of a Dodge Ram truck. I get the idea, more macho, but prefer the sleeker look of yours, and the V6 makes perfect sense, as already been discussed above. Great choice.

Went to Musclepalooza yesterday and got 4 runs in. First three were garbage 14.5-6's at 99mph. Bogged on the first run, next two I spun. My dial-in time for brackets was 14.40 as you can see on the window. Last run, second round of brackets I dropped tire pressure to 30 in back, loosened up the front Konis as far as they would go, tightened up the rears to a turn from full hard and left stability control on but TC off. Surprised me for sure, cars got more in it though!

14.020 @ 100.6 mph with a 2.2 60ft

I broke out but couldnt have been happier, its a new personal best and not bad for a basically stock HP 2.73 geared car. Oh and it averaged 28.5mpg over driving up, racing, and driving back down with a ton of idle time in the staging lanes.

Good 60 foot for street tires. You might be able to get down to a 2.1 or so, but it'll be hard with those tall ass gears.

Thanks, it's really a fine line between bogging and spinning with the 2.73's. These cars really shouldve came with 3.31's stock but Im too lazy to change them out

With a 4.6L, I was cutting 2.0's on 4.10's with just all-season tires. I'm thinking the 3.7 can do the same. The 2.73's are sweet for gas mileage though.

Im sure it could! Just wish the track wasnt over 2 hours away so I could work on my driver mod more often
