My 2013 Focus SFE Build

So far kept it pretty simple and clean with this build.
Ordered a 2013 Focus SE
Ingot Silver/Black Interior
200A package
SFE package (So i could have rear disc brakes and spoiler)
Winter Package
Sirius Radio
Reverse Sensors

Sticker was a lil over 21K with my ford Discount and Incentives I got it for 16K before TTL

Love that on the focus compared to other Fords you can really get just what u want and dont have to get stuck paying big $$$$ for one option.

Had a 2013 Fusion SE with 1.6 turbo before I ordered this... was in the shop every week

had a 2013 fiesta as well was just to small!!

this fit me perfect!! I even love the heated cloth seats I have

Looks good. I have a '12 ingot silver sel sedan. I wanna get the black headlights. I was wondering how they looked on a silver sedan. Now to find a good pair of em.

In my opinion, your car is BEAUTIFUL! "Simple and clean" really does it for me.

I've been looking at all the trim levels, wheel options (OEM and aftermarket), and colors for the Mk3 Focus while waiting 'til I'm ready to buy one. After over a year of wavering (so many beautiful combinations) I had pretty much arrived at the combination you have. Of all the wheels I have looked at, the ones you have are the ones I really want to have. Were they hard to find at a reasonable price?

I used to not like the black headlight trim with lighter colors and thought the chrome finish ones would look fine with silver, since I don't plan to buy a Titanium or an ST. Your photos have me thinking I might have been wrong about that. With those black wheels and fog-light grilles they look really good with silver. (Thanks a lot. One more thing on my wish list.) What you have there is EXACTLY how I will want mine to look. (Unfortunately, window tint that dark is not legal on the front windows in California.) Now I just have to stop looking at photos of all the other colors and wheels. (OK if I use one of your photos for my wallpaper?)

You might not feel that way if you wanted a manual transmission instead of the DCT, like I do. That rules out the SFE package. To get the rear disc brakes, wing, fog lights, and "Black Pack 17 inch upgrade wheels" installed from the factory you'd have to get the $2,600 appearance package, and pay $495 on top of that for the black wheels (after already paying for the smoked silver 17" wheels & tires as part of the package.) Unfortunately, it also includes leather seats (any color you want as long as it is black) and has the wider center console with that ridiculous hand brake lever. (Am I the only one who is bothered by that thing poking up in the middle of everything when it is set? I have not found it mentioned in any of the threads I've followed.)

Fiesta > Fusion > Focus. "This one is just right." The Goldie Locks method.

I had thought that if I get too discouraged trying to get a Focus the way I want it I might consider a Fusion, but agree with you about the Focus being a better fit. Sorry to hear your Fusion was such a nuisance. Have you described the problems you had with it elsewhere? (I sure hope the DCT in your Focus turns out to be one of the solid ones.)

They may look better lower, but yours already looks great and is a lot more practical for every day driving the way it is. Unless you want the handling improvement are you sure it's worth it?

Painting the lower panels the same color as the body might make it look lower. They already look so good in black with those wheels and the other trim that it's hard to tell if that would be an improvement, though. These photos by theshrewz and twenty might help to visualize it, but maybe not since I think both of these cars have been lowered:

The stock rocker panels look cleaner to me without that extra bulge under the front door that the ST panels have. (Cost less, too, since you already have them.) The ST panels do look more aggessive, though. Decisions.

The painted stock rear valance makes the car look a bit lower, if you don't mind cleaning off tar spots and touching up paint chips. If you keep them all black then the front splitter twenty installed might look good with them.

If you add fog lights I think the all black bezels would look better than the black & chrome ones. If you do plan to add the lights, be sure to read about the factory switch not working with them here:

hmm looking nice.. even you did minor changes but your car is looking awesome and I like those aftermarket rims.. because they are looking great on the car.. can you tell me how much these modifications costs? Thanks for sharing.

I thought the SFE came with Frisbee's? LOL it kinda defeats the purpose of the sfe if you upgraded to the black pack wheels no? I love the car thought it's looking good nice and clean, I have a 10 2 dr in the same color.

Not really. Ford's purpose for the SFE was to increase fuel economy. His purpose was to get the rear disc brakes and the trunk spoiler from the factory on an SE model without having to order the $2,600 appearance package (and get the leather interior whether he wants it or not). Clever approach. Since Ford (stupidly) eliminated the SE Sport Package for the 2013 Model year you cannot order an SE with the rear discs, the trunk spoiler, fog lights and cloth seats, so this is the closest it gets. (Forget about getting a manual transmission with that combination. Can you tell I'm PO'd about that?)

Not exactly. SFE is just an option package that is only available on the SE model. You can configure that model pretty lean, or add lots of expensive stuff to it independently of the SFE package. It requires the Powershift dual-clutch transmission -- it's not available with the manual trans. (Darn it.) The 2012 base SE had steel wheels so SFE just swapped covers for the "frisbees" (great description), but for 2013 it replaces the 16" alloy wheels with steel wheels and covers, which is probably why it costs less than it used to. That's kinda' going in the "stripper" direction, but most of the other bells and whistles (sunroof, etc.) can still be added.
