you can use a can of brake cleaner around the intake boots, if the idle rises then you know you've got a vac leak there. not really that difficult to find, could be a cracked intake aswell. good luck!

I have a 67mm throttle body & steeda SRI. I'm 99% sure the whistle just happens with this setup. Over time it has faded... even when I clean and oil my filter, it's still not as bad as when I first got the setup.

Depending on where in the engine, the Dual-Stage Intake Manifold sometimes whistles when you get up there.

My SVT Focus did that brand new back in 03 and then when I modified the intake and throttle body, the whistle happened at a different RPM and speed. Nothing to be worried about, just how the system works from the air.

I recently bought an '04 SVTF, that the PO had installed a short ram intake on, it whistles like crazy. I have found through light application of the gas while driving ( I have a sensitive foot and can keep it at one spot for a while, a result not having cruise control for 8+ years.) I can get the throttle open to just enough where that's all I hear is a light, consistent whistle.

I can tell you from experience that on my AEM CAI from my original SVT, you could also hear a slight whistle at partial throttle, but it was more prevalent if you floored it in say 4th around 30mph. You could really here the intake suckin hard.

I'm pretty sure the whistle you are hearing is a normal side effect of having the SRI on your car. Shouldn't be alarmed about it unless you start hearing abnormal whistling.

Is it possible it isn't upgrade related? Like maybe something else is loose causing air to move through it?
SRI and bigger throttle bodies do tend to make more noise overall and you could just be hearing the difference between stock and not stock.
