Focus Problems < Everything Else

well my focus has yet again getting screwed up mechanically. I had a weird warming issue that made me bog down, and made me pull over till it stopped. Now my SVT has no power steering and water, and oil temp is running hot. Did i mention how much I love my focus? boy its amazing.

Oh fyi i found my password.

Sounds like you lost your belt for your accessories.

do u think it was the water pump? when i turned the engine over I can kind of heard a tick or scratching noise. It was only for a a few seconds then it stopped. Then ten minutes later, while turning, no power steering lol then everything got hot. Sorry for posting in this section. I just know when im here I have people who know me, and get a quick response

Travis you said next week? The 14th is in only a couple days. Or is it back being on the third Saturday again now.

Does sound like accessories belt. I would be careful about driving without water circulation. If its a quick 5.5 miles then maybe. A very very slim maybe only cuz at least there is water in there. I know when I had a part crack and my coolant leaked out my temp shot up in like 30-45 seconds. I pulled over and shut it off b4 it got to red. Didn't want to chance hurting the head or gasket or anything else. Personally I wouldn't. Better safe than sorry.

Maybe you can get it back on. If belt is ok then probably the tensioner wasn't tight enough.
